VintageMerrythought Winnie the Pooh -Large Bear 26" High circa 1960s
It’s Winnie the Pooh!!.
This lovely, rare bear carries the Merrythought tag on his left footpad.
Made in Ironbridge, Shropshire,England, from golden mohair, he has amber colored eyes and his arms, legs and head are poseable.
In excellent condition for his age, there are no holes or bare spots.
In the pics I have included a copy of a value guide article by Dee Hockenberry from the Sep/Oct 2006 edition of
TeddyBear and Friends
magazine supporting his age.
The article states that the bear measures 24”high, but this one measures closer to 26”.
Winnie would make a wonderful addition or a perfect start to your collection.
